The Flight Concert Electro Acoustic Ukulele is a luxury concert ukulele built from laminate Amara wood, a South American evergreen tree that produces ukuleles that are beautifully dark and mysterious with a distinctly warm and crystal clear tone. Laminate Amara is used to making the Flight DUC460 EQ. Some people refer to it as ebony, but Flight refers to it as Amara. Amara is a kind of evergreen tree found in South American rainforests. The Amara makes ukuleles that are wonderfully dark and enigmatic, with a distinct sound: warm and loud. The DUC460's neck and fingerboard are made of African okoume and Walnut. It looks attractive in the player's hands.

The nut may seem to have been a minor part, but it is vital to an instrument's overall tone. This ukulele's nut and saddle are made of bone instead of plastic, leading to improved tone quality.
