The Flight TUS50 ABS Travel Sorano uses laminated walnut for the sound board. Walnut is a fascinating heartwood, favored by luthiers for its malleability and elegance. Walnut is more dense and rigid than Mahogany and its tonality is so luminous as Koa. But open grains build a separate standard, which divides the difference between Rosewood and Mahogany. And it just looks amazing on top of that! The stunning grain, along with our Salamander style drawn by hand, has already attracted many admirers all over the world! The neck and fingerboard of the TUS50 are made of plastic ABS. It is a great option for ukuleles since they do not affect the weather. In either of our Travel ukuleles, you will never get a sharp fret or bent neck.
