It is the king of tonewoods because it is strong and full of rich tone and volume. This ukulele's neck and fingerboard are made of ABS plastic. Since it is not susceptible to environmental fluctuations, this is an ideal option for entry-level ukuleles. On the Travel ukuleles, there can never be a sharp fret or a twisted neck. The instrument has a wooden finish on the neck, which makes it sound different from a plastic ukulele when you play it.

The zero fret and flexible saddle on our travel ukuleles hold string action low and intonation on point. Since a plastic ukulele does not respond to weather as a wood ukulele does, you will never need to have to change the saddle again.
