The fingerboard and bridge are made of teak, the neck is mahogany, and the body is made of exotic Nyatoh. Mahalo Java series ukuleles are finished in a distinctive see-through, gloss finish that reveals the quality of the tonewoods. Java's ukuleles have an arched back, Canadian Nubone bridge saddles, and a gig bag to increase bass response and projection. Aquila strings have also been designed to produce a fuller, richer sound with more balance.
